June Madness! What a busy month it has been.

Whilst the weather has been unusually overcast, rainy and windy in Port Douglas, it has not deterred the bookings! Several holiday makers have enjoyed The Great Barrier Reef on board Zulu, with snorkelling being the flavour of the month.

We’ve been heading out to North Opal Reef, where the coral and fish life is flourishing and the visibility for snorkelers and divers has been ideal. A true Great Barrier Reef experience in the comfort and privacy of your own vessel. We’ve taken out several families whom have enjoyed swimming in the reef and spotting Minke Whales who’ve come to play, followed by some bottom fishing for table fish such as large mouth Nannygai and coral trout as well as trolling for Spanish Mackerel.
We’ve even converted dive instructor Sonia into a fisherman/woman!

On another note, Levante our 44ft Assegai vessel has been leased again this year by Chris Miles ‘Sharky’ and will be based out of Cairns for the majority of the Cairns Marlin season. We’ve had Levante on the slip at The Reef Marina Slipway in Port Douglas for a week or so giving her an annual birthday involving anti-fouling, touch up’s and re sanding/vanishing some timber work. She’s looking sparkling new and ready to tackle the giant black marlin once again.
